How Transferras Works

From business requirement to validated output

Transferras turns complex enterprise data change into a controlled, understandable and repeatable process.

Define requirements, connect data, apply transformations, validate results, automate processing and retain a complete audit history.

Step 1 – Define data processes and tasks

Define the data processes and tasks required for your use case or accelerate setup with a pre-built template aligned to common enterprise systems and data scenarios.

Templates provide pre-configured starting points that reduce setup effort and help standardise delivery.

Step 2 — Define the requirement

Document what needs to change and why.

Capture the expected outcome, business rationale, acceptance criteria and relevant business or project reference.

Step 3 — Connect the source data

Bring data into Transferras through files, secure SFTP transfers or third-party APIs.

Use the connection method that best supports the migration or operational process.

Step 4 — Transform

Apply reusable transformations and conditions to standardise, enrich, cleanse or restructure records.

Link transformations to requirements to ensure intent is clear.

Step 5 — Validate the data

Check the incoming and transformed data for missing values, incorrect formats and structural issues.

Configure field-level validation against data retrieved from the target system before loading, so invalid or missing references can be identified and resolved earlier.

Step 6 — Run or schedule

Complete single runs or create comprehensive run plans.

Trigger run plans on demand or create a recurring schedule.

Use automation for repeated data exchanges, operational updates, parallel running or migration rehearsals.

Step 7 — Test the outcome

Compare the transformed result with the expected business outcome.

Step 8 — Review and promote

Test processes outside production and promote tested data processes through the controlled deployment lifecycle.

After a production data process has begun its first single run or run plan, it is locked against further amendment. This prevents retrospective changes to the configuration behind completed production processing.

Step 9 — Monitor and evidence

Review the processing history to see what was processed, when it ran and whether it completed successfully.

Receive alerts when scheduled processing starts, completes successfully or fails.

Search, filter and export the supporting information required for operational review or audit.
